Zoe Saldana In Balmain – 2012 Independent Spirit Awards

Zoe Saldana was another attendee at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards yesterday evening held in Santa Monica. Zoe hasn't been attending that many red carpet events this year so I was very glad to see her and as I always do, I left the best for last.
She wore a dress I've been dreaming to see on the red carpet and she made my dreams come true, she was by far the best dressed for me last night.

Zoe wore one of my absolute favourite dresses from Balmain's Spring 2012 collection which is finally starting to hit the red carpet! Her stunning brocade-like mini dress had a gorgeous all round floral print, gold detailing and structured shoulders to give it that classic Balmain feel. I fell in love with this dress from the moment I saw it and have been waiting for someone worthy to give it an outing - Zoe is perfect for the dress as she's an avid Balmain fan plus she's high fashion enough to pull it off. I better stop gushing because I could go on all night but Zoe accessorized with nude Brian Atwood pumps to elongate her already very long legs, work it Zoe!

Zoe completed her amazing look with tousled waves and her signature smokey eyes with lashings of eyeliner, I love it all and its got me so excited for what she'll wear next!

P.S I'm currently watch E!'s Academy Awards coverage, I'm dying to see Angelina, Emma Stone and Cameron Diaz to name a few but still waiting! I won't be doing any coverage now as its late but I will do in the coming days! :)

Zoe Saldana was spotted on the front row at Prabal Gurung's Fall 2012 show yesterday morning. The 'Avatar' actress was one of the first Prabal supporters and continues to wear his designs on a regular basis. 

After his Spring 2012 show last year Prabal's profile has sky-rocketed with every major starlet wearing his edgy yet ladylike pieces.

The ever graceful Zoe wore this stunning Prabal Gurung Spring 2012 ensemble of an aqua and white trimmed satin blazer, white v-neck top and psychedelic print pants. I'm officially obsessed with this look from head-to-toe and with the blazer in particular, it was pure genius to put the two together on the runway and a brilliant choice that Zoe followed suit! Zoe has that chic yet cool way of dressing which is why this works perfectly on her. She paired her ensemble with heels from the same collection.

She completed her look with sleek hair, classic eyeliner and a berry lip colour. I fall in love with her more and more after each appearance! 

Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Couture - 2012 Screen Actors' Guild Awards

Zoe Saldana is the last of my best dressed starlets at the 2012 SAG Awards which were held last Sunday in LA. The 'Colombiana' actress was there on presenting duties and believe me the moment I heard she was attending I was dying to see what she would show up in and believe it or not, I had a feeling she would go for Givenchy Couture as its become quite the relationship the two have formed during Awards season.

Zoe became the first to wear a Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture gown on the red carpet and considering the collection was shown just days before, she needs a round of applause! Her exquisite, white silk organza gown had a drop waist embroidered with shimmering crystals. Her gown also had a cluster of embellishments around the neck and on the drop waist detail - she might be in Couture but Zoe is still her edgy self. I also loved the crystals all over the hemline and split, its ridiculously pretty. 

The pretty actress completed her look with diamond earrings, a loose up-do and flawless make-up. Loved everything.

Zoe Saldana attended the 'Kick Off To The 2012 Golden Globes' event a few days looking as fabulous as always. It's been a while since Zoe's last red carpet appearance so its great to have her back and even more so in one of the recent Pre-Fall 2012 collections - I told you guys she's someone to be reckoned with, designers love her!

Zoe looked stunning in this black Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 dress with embellishment detail at the neckline, nipped in waist and the length is so ladylike. I love how she looks incredible yet she's not wearing anything too showy. She paired her dress with pretty Brian Atwood pumps and silver clutch, I love it. 

Zoe completed her look with a carefree up-do, smoky eyes and a berry lip - the lip colour is the perfect pop of colour on this dark look. Zoe is perfect as always. 

'Fashion Force To Be Reckoned With' Award - Zoe Saldana

As I draw nearer to the end of my 'Awards', I knew I had to include someone that always left me in awe and someone who had become the IT girl of the fashion world, the lady I'm talking about ladies and gentlemen is Zoe Saldana.
Ever since Zoe starred in Avatar, the fashion world has taken notice of this gorgeous lady and showered her with  beautiful clothes, in 2011 more than ever she became a fully fledged fashion icon - the biggest proof is when she started popping up with the Spring 2012 pieces way before anyone else, I knew from that moment on that Zoe indeed deserved to be honoured for her taste in clothes!

Zoe Saldana in Elie Saab - 2011 Latin Grammy Awards

The ever fashionable Zoe Saldana took my breath away a few days ago when I saw her in the following dress - speechless, all I could mutter was 'wow'. 

Fashion's newest heavy weight was wearing a traffic stopping Kelly green Elie Saab gown from the Spring 2012 collection. Zoe was only the second to wear a dress from the collection after Gwyneth Paltrow who ironically, also wore a green dress but lets get it straight, Zoe wore hers a lot better!

Zoe looked like a billion dollars in this stunning sequin dress, I literally cannot get over how beautiful she looks and how sensational the dress itself looks on her, its probably my favourite Zoe look to date. The crew neck cap sleeve gown also had a thin green belt to accent the waist - the colour is so vibrant and alive on Zoe that it almost blinds me, its magical and completely how this dress should be! If perfection existed, it would be Zoe in this gown!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, green looks better on brunettes - it pains me to say it because I'm blonde and its one of my favourite colours but its the truth, its perfect that Gwyneth who is a blonde wore a green dress too, go compare her to Zoe and you can see it for yourself. Back to Zoe, she didn't over power her dress at all by not wearing jewels (doesn't need them!) and keeping the whole look very minimalist because the dress is such a statement, who ever decided on this dress need a damn Oscar! 

Zoe perfected her look with shiny waves, her hair is the definition of perfection on this occasion and her make-up was smoky and dramatic on the eyes with the rest left muted, with all that green there is no need for any more colour! (Look at the sequins on the dress, *dies inside*).

Zoe Saldana in Gucci - LACMA Art + Film Gala

The last of my favourite LACMA Art + Film Gala attendees is Zoe Saldana who if you read my blog, you know I've become very fond of her and always jump at the chance to write about her. 

Zoe was the other guest along with Camilla Belle & Evan Rachel Wood to wear a Gucci Spring 2012 dress and Zoe's dress wasn't even presented on the runway so this is the first were seeing of it, lucky girl!

Zoe 's black & gold flapper dress was another of my favourites of the night and one of my favourite looks of hers. She looks divine as always and has become such a fashion icon recently that she's usually the first to wear the new collections. She wore a pair of gorgeous peep toe heels from the same collection which are absolutely adorable from close-up, great choice. 

As well as her dress being an organza of detail at the front, I'm gonna go right ahead and say that it was even more beautiful at the back! The open back of the dress exposed Zoe's back along with gold pieces which looked so amazing on her caramel skin, in awe! 

Zoe completed her look with a low maintenance chignon and smoky eye make-up to frame her face. Such a beautiful lady.

Zoe Saldana in Reed Krakoff - 2011 Glamour Reel Moments Premiere

The gorgeous Zoe Saldana keeps giving it her all for her fashion game, the actress & direction is always giving something different and has become the It girl of the Spring 2012 collections as she's been the first to wear many many designers! 

On this occasion Zoe gave the nudes a rest and wore this gorgeous dark purple piece which looks delicious on her beautiful skin!

Zoe's gorgeous dress was a deep purple with a gunmetal chain-mail panel and black sheer overlay, it was very feminine and looked beautiful on her. I think what's really captivating me is how amazing and bright the colour is, it really pops against Zoe's caramel skin, just a perfect choice for her! 

And because she had so much dazzle on the dress, Zoe kept everything minimal, light grey Ferragamo pumps completed her amazing look which I'm currently obsessed with - everything is perfect, I wouldn't change a thing! 

Last but not least! Zoe kept her hair in pretty waves but it was her stunning make-up which really caught my eye! She had a very light purple on her eyelids and a bright purple on her lower eye line which really accentuated her eyes, one of my favourite Zoe looks for sure!

Zoe Saldana in Valentino - Colombiana Premiere

The lovely Zoe Saldana was spotted attending the second Premiere of her new film, Colombiana in which she plays a female assassin (should be interesting), this time Zoe was at the LA screening of the movie looking gorgeous in a leather Valentino dress. Zoe has really upped the ante for this promotional tour every look has been great and interesting and most definitely worth blogging about!

Zoe wore this beautiful coral leather number from Valentino's Fall 2011 collection which I believe was not shown on the runway but none the less its a beautiful dress! The colour is what initially caught my eye as it looks beautiful against Zoe's skin and of course leather is always eye catching but this piece wasn't as harsh looking as some other leather pieces I've seen on the red carpet lately.

Zoe paired her lovely dress with nude Louboutins and a beautiful Ferragamo clutch, she had the right idea in pairing her dress with nude accessories as anything dark would've really ruined the beauty of it. Some bloggers even preferred this look to her Balmain dress which I can't say I agree with, I think the Balmain is better but this is also a dress to remember for Zoe. 

Lastly, Zoe finished her look with polished hair & make-up, nothing over the top and those earrings are lovely, right?

Zoe Saldana in Balmain - Colombiana Premiere

My girl crush of the moment - Zoe Saldana attended the screening of her new movie ''Colombiana'' last night looking like a million dollars! As soon as I caught a glimpse of Zoe, I knew I had to post about her look because she was also wearing one of my favourite fashion houses - Balmain!!



Zoe Saldana in Balmain Resort 2012:

The beautiful Zoe wore a modified version of this Balmain Resort 2012 dress at the Premiere, the modification being the added white train - I know a lot of critics didn't approve of the added train but as soon as I saw a glimpse of her dress, I knew it was Balmain and couldn't not love it! The detail in the dress is insane and the works of true craftsmanship plus the gold looks mesmerizing against Zoe's skin.

Zoe paired her dress with black strappy heels although I do think a nude or gold heel would've looked better, none the less, she looked sensational and is certainly one of the biggest Balmain fans around ( this is the second look she's worn from this collection). 

Zoe finished her look with dramatic eye make-up consisting of liquid eye liner flicked up, very cat like and brown eyeshadow in the same shape while everything else was kept simple. Her hair was in a carefree up do, with a dress like that, you've got to let it do the talking!

Teen Choice Awards, 2011: Actresses!

Continuing from my post about the Kardashians at last nights TCA's, I'm dedicating this post to all the actresses who didn't fit in any other category! All of the ladies that I've chosen look amazing, there's only three of them but they all looked individual in their outfits and are regular red (in this case, blue) carpet favourites of mine! Lets get on with it:



Cameron Diaz in ALC mini dress & Burak Uyan sandals:

One of my fav actresses of all time, Cameron Diaz never disappoints me with her outfit choices and I like that she kept her look natural, not overly made up at all, although that's classic Cameron! 

That nude ALC mini dress looks great on her killer body and I'm loving those sandals, they're gorgeous! 

As always, Cameron kept her hair & make-up natural and fresh. She wore very little make-up, just a little to accentuate those amazing eyes of hers and kept her hair simply straight, lovely! 

Zoe Saldana in Lanvin Resort 2012 & Alexander McQueen pumps:

My girl Zoe wore an extremely new Lanvin Resort 2012 pleated dress which I love on her! The colour looks amazing on her and those Alexander McQueen pumps are to die for, plus the gold in the shoes works beautifully with the dress! I love Zoe and always adore what she wears, she really is becoming a fashion icon!

How damn beautiful is this girl? My God...that smile & those eyes are hypnotizing, she's so beautiful it hurts! That's all I'm saying about Zoe, she's drop dead gorgeous...take a look for yourself! 

Rachel Bilson in Chloé Resort 2012 & Brian Atwood ''Cohen Borchie'' boots:

The pretty Rachel also wore a brand new Resort 2012 dress, hers was by Chloé and it was heavily modified from the original but still lovely! I definitely like this dress on Rachel, she looks gorgeous in white/mint green...can't figure out what colour the dress is lol! Only criticism I have is her choice of footwear, I love those boots but not with this dress, the dress is too soft and pretty to be paired up with spikes - replace the shoes and its perfection! 

Her hair & make-up was simple, her hair was wavy however I prefer it when its poker straight..she looks amazing like that! She had a neutral smoky eye & nude lip combo for make-up, so pretty! 

Those were my favourite actresses that didn't fit in any other category, hope you liked it!
