Liam Gallagher recalls stealing a bike years ago

Liam Gallagher recalls stealing a bike years ago
Liam Gallagher stole a bicycle when he was young because he couldn't be bothered to walk home.

The singer made his name in rock band Oasis alongside his brother Noel Gallagher, and is now promoting his new group Beady Eye. He has revealed a naughty moment from his past, when he decided to help himself to someone else's property.

"Last time I stole was when I was a kid, man," Liam told Q Magazine. "A mountain bike. I was walking home and I thought, 'F**k this, I'm knackered, there's a bike there.' It wasn't locked up. It was outside some f**king shop. I thought, 'I'll have a go of that.' Took it home and sold it, 50 quid."

Now a father himself, Liam would never condone such behaviour. He has one child with wife Nicole Appleton and two kids from other relationships and says being a dad has changed him. When he was a young man his only thought was for himself, but now his loved ones and foremost in his mind at all times.

"I'd go and get f**king trolleyed," he revealed, when asked what he'd do if the world was ending. "But you don't want to be doing that when you've got kids, do you? You'd have to just go and grab your kids and you missus and have a f**king super-cuddle."

Pink has given birth to a baby girl

Pink has given birth to a baby girl
The 'Raise Your Glass' singer ' whose real name is Alecia Moore - revealed her and motocross racer husband Carey Hart are "ecstatic" with the arrival of their new daughter last night (02.06.11), and she took to her twitter account this morning (03.06.11) to announce her joy.

She tweeted: "We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She's gorgeous, just like her daddy. beyondblessed."

The 31-year-old singer was thought to have been admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles last night and preparing to give birth via caesarean section after reports the baby was breech, meaning the little one had entered the birth canal feet or buttocks first, rather than the usual head first way.

A source said: "Pink's baby was breech, so they were going to schedule a Caesarean section if the baby didn't correct its position.

"Her last check-up was on May 12 and she was expected to give birth three weeks from then, so today is perfect timing!"

Pink hinted yesterday her baby could have arrived when she tweeted: "New Moon in Gemini today :) a good time to start something new . Also called the Honey Moon."

The 'So What' singer confirmed she was pregnant in November last year, but admitted she was "nervous" about disclosing the news after previously suffering a miscarriage.

She said: "I didn't want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before. I worked for it. It was not an, 'Oops!' "

Slam Dunk Festival Herts University, Hatfield

Slam Dunk Festival Herts University, Hatfield
Now celebrating its 10th anniversary with a bang, Slam Dunk has become one of the UK’s main pop punk and post hardcore music festivals. Boasting a huge array of bands from different genres it’s at this festival you can see anything from Anti Flag and We Are the Ocean to Less Than Jake and The Skints.

I check out the first act of the day to grace The Atticus stage, American four piece The Dangerous summer. Although this stage is relatively quiet, in fact the whole festival is at the moment; they come on and give it their all. They deliver a fast paced, energetic performance shaking the tiny room with their pop punk anthems, a definite positive start to my day.

I just manage to catch a glimpse of post hardcore band Shadows Chasing Ghosts performance on the Honour over Glory stage and although everybody on this stage today will have to compete with the DJ who is playing relatively close by, it proves to be no problem for this band. Their thrashing riffs prompt small moshpits and echo throughout the whole tent providing an excellent atmosphere for all around.
I also had time to check out the Punktastic acoustic stage, a very intimate side room to a bustling bar and quaintly resembles the small comedy and jazz venues often seen in movies. This venue was sadly overlooked a lot of the time, but had some great guests such as HelloGoodbye dropping in for an acoustic sessions during the day.

I rush to the Jagermeister main stage with a flush of excitement to see The Skints. After listening to various members of the crowd on the way to the stage, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding this bands performance and it’s obvious to see why. It’s as soon as the sound of the reggae-esque beats kick in that the first signs of ‘ska skanking’ appear amongst the crowd. The heads are nodding back and forth and as lead singer Marcia starts bringing out every instrument imaginable through the performance, just to mix things up, nobody can help themselves in doing a little dance and I’m beginning to think this wont be the first time today I see a little bit of the ‘ska skanking’. An incredible performance, perfect for warming up a main stage that is going to be full of ska and pop punk bands throughout the day, and to top it all off the weather is lovely too.

Shortly afterwards, I follow a fairly big crowd to the Kerrang! Introducing Stage to catch The King Blues’ set in the tiny Attic room. Not only are The King Blues special guests to the festival, they’re also an incredibly well known band to be playing such a small stage and as soon as I arrive it’s obvious just how popular they really are. This stage is literally so small, it’s operating on a strictly one in one out basis and the queue sloping down the stairs is steadily growing because of this. By the time I finally squeeze into the packed room, their 3.20pm slot has been and gone, and after what seems like quite a long sound check The King Blues finally appear. The atmosphere is electric in the room as they rip through their set with boundless energy. The crowd clap and sing when prompted by lead singer Itch, even though he really doesn’t need to do so, because everyone here is getting into the swing of things. The ‘ska skank’ is aptly making an appearance again and we’re treated to new song ‘Head butt’. However its hits like ‘My Boulder’ and ‘I Got Love’ that are inevitably the crowd pleasers, an absolutely incredible performance, with the only downside being that the crowd outside couldn’t all get in to enjoy the atmosphere with everyone else.

So, it’s time to head back to the Jagermeister stage to check out Anti Flag. Taking into consideration some of the other acts to grace this stage to today, Anti Flag are certainly of a different genre all together. It’s not even a song into their set before things start to go wrong as it seems the speakers and amps may have blown, leaving just the sound of the drummer beating away to the set list. It does not deter the huge crowd though, as they sing word for word to every song played with their arms happily in the air. It’s a good 15 minutes into their set before the problems are solved, but they deliver a high octane performance and it’s clear they’re in awe of how well the crowd have handled the situation. Although the short set they did perform was entertaining, it’s just slightly disappointing they couldn’t play the whole set as planned.

Due to Attack! Attack! being unable to play, Me vs. Hero take their place on the Macbeth stage and they can certainly fill their shoes. Although they play to a small crowd, they put their all into the performance and the crowd love it. Watching it from the balcony above, I can see the moshpits in full swing and a sight I’ve seen a few times already today- three guys dressed as beer bottles. Inevitably they catch the eye of the lead singer and are chosen out to play a very important part in the stage show- being at the bottom of the human pyramid. I’m a real convert to this band after seeing their performance and the crowd reaction, an enjoyable performance from start to finish.

Unfortunately, I only get to catch 15 minutes of Reel Big fish’s set on the Jagermeister stage. Although the mics are quiet for the first song, they carry on with it until the sound techs do their thing. They entertain the massive crowd with a freestyle saxophone set, prompting the ‘ska skank’ to reappear again. Although I only caught 15minutes, it was the best set of the day for me, the perfect band to be playing this festival and brightening up everybody’s day.

An excellent festival for lovers of pop punk, ska and hardcore music alike. If you do anything next summer, make sure you get yourselves down to one of the days atleast.

Busta Rhymes' new album is like a 'full course meal'

Busta Rhymes' new album is like a 'full course meal'
The rapper's comeback has seen him climb into the top ten of the US Billboard charts on 'Look at me Now' with Chris Brown and Lil Wayne, and he promises his ninth album will have a different "taste" to his previous work.

He told AllHipHop.com: "There's times when you gotta go back in the kitchen and find new seasonings to make the meat taste a little better when you feed the full course meal back to the streets.

"It was time for me to put together another full course meal that aint never been tasted the way this full course meal is gonna taste."

The rapper ' who's new record is rumoured to be a follow up to 1998's 'Extinction Level Event: The Final World Front' ' also said he feels "supreme" again and able to tackle sensitive subjects in his rhymes.

He added: "This is my s**t. I am back in a space where I can talk about the things I love to talk about and touch on things people are a little uncomfortable talking about and really expose the truths, and do it in a way where it's so extremely entertaining. I feel supreme right now."

Busta Rhymes' as yet untitled album will be released in September.

Dannii Minogue denies split from Kris Smith

Dannii Minogue denies split from Kris Smith
Dannii Minogue has denied she is on a 'trial separation from longterm boyfriend Kris Smith.

The glamorous couple was reported to be taking a break in a bid to save their three-year relationship.

The former X Factor judge and her model boyfriend, who have an 11-month-old son, Ethan, together were said to have been living separate lives for the last seven weeks.

But now Dannii, who met Kris on holiday in Ibiza in 2008, has made a statement to squash the rumours.

"Thanks for your concern. We're happy to be back at home in Melbourne together as a family," she said. "We are committed to our relationship and Ethan as always."

Concern that all was not well in the Minogue-Smith household was sparked when the couple posted a series of poignant statuses on Twitter last week.

Dannii, who is currently busy filming Australia's Got Talent, sounded like she was making a dig at former rugby player Kris.

'Never chase love. If it isn't given freely by another person, it's not worth having,' she wrote. 'Forgiving someone does not mean forgetting what they did. It simply means letting go of the hurt.'

Kris, who was believed to be staying with his parents in the UK, responded with his own cryptic tweet.

'You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone,' he wrote.

The messages were deleted from both their accounts soon after.

It's been a turbulent few weeks for Dannii, who announced her departure from the UK version of The X Factor earlier this month.

The speculation about her relationship added further strain on the new mother, with sources claiming that she decided to leave the show to save her family unit with Kris.

'Like any couple, Dannii and Kris have their ups and downs. At the moment they're going through an extremely rocky patch and simply aren't sure whether, this time, they will get through it unscathed,' one source told British newspaper The Mirror.

'As well as the stresses of first-time motherhood, Dannii has been through the ringer professionally, with so many commitments and big decisions to make. One of the main factors in her shock X Factor departure was Dannii's determination to save her relationship. She won't give up on her family without a fight.'

Dame Shirley Bassey drafted in to play Kate Moss wedding

Dame Shirley Bassey drafted in to play Kate Moss wedding
Kate Moss has hired Dame Shirley Bassey to perform at her upcoming summer wedding.

The model, who is set to marry fiancé Jamie Hince on 2 July 2011, has been planning a country ceremony with a festival feel and has been thinking of hiring numerous musicians to perform at the reception.

But Kate reportedly had her heart set on the legendary singer because she represents 'true elegance, class and sophistication'.

'Dame Shirley was always top of her wish list for the wedding entertainment, and she's over the moon that she's agreed to perform for her,' a source told British newspaper The Sunday Mirror.

'Kate wanted high-end glamour and good old 'fashioned entertainment, and Dame Shirley was the perfect choice. She agreed to play the gig immediately and Kate can't wait for the big day. It will be a real highlight.'

According to the source, the 74-year-old soul-diva will receive 100,000 for her performance, but her decision to sing at Kate's wedding was never down to money.

The British fashion icon and the singer have been friends for years and have been pictured together on numerous occasions.

'She's got all the money she could ever need. She wanted to do it for Kate,' the source added. 'They have a real connection. Kate thinks she stands for true elegance, class and sophistication. As far as Kate's concerned she's only going to get married once so it has to be the day of her dreams. That's what she wants at her wedding.'

Paul Rodgers may tour with Queen again

Paul Rodgers may tour with Queen again
The former Free and Bad Company vocalist joined Brian May and Roger Taylor to tour as Queen + Rodger Taylor between 2005 and 2009, and while they have all been working on other projects since, the vocalist hasn't ruled out performing with the band again.

When asked if he would tour again with Queen, Roger said: "We may do. We left it because we all wanted to do different things. We toured the world twice and after the studio album I didn't feel like there was a lot more we could do.

"We didn't want to do it forever, but I enjoyed playing the role for a while, so we'll see."

Speaking at the Ivor Novello songwriting awards, the singer also said how daunting he found it to fill the space left by original vocalist Freddie Mercury - who died in 1991 of complications related to AIDS ' and how much respect he has for the way he gracefully bowed out of the public eye when he became ill.

Paul told BANG Showbiz: "I had to fill a role as well as be myself, and it was quite daunting, at first we were just jamming and having fun, but when they put the full rig up and I was stood in the middle, all of a sudden I realised the enormity of what I'd got myself into.

"I grew to love Freddie. I always had a great deal of admiration for queen and Freddie, but the more I studied him and his life and his death too, there was no poor me about it, he was just very, very brave."

Debbie Harry has thought about adopting children

Debbie Harry has thought about adopting children
The iconic singer ' who was adopted at a young age by shop owners Richard and Catherine Harry ' has never had children but did occasionally think about the idea of expanding her family.

She said: "I've thought of adoption, which I think I'd be really good at. Now that this terrible earthquake has happened in Japan, there will be lots of children needing homes."

The 65-year-old pop star likes to support various charities, and the eco-conscious celebrity would like to set up a foundation to promote the use of solar panels.

She said: "I spread myself around a lot of causes.

"I'm concerned about the environment and clean water and being carbon-free. I also support diabetes research.

"If I were to do a foundation it would be to promote solar energy. And I'm worried about drilling for oil. I think it is harming the earth, because it drains the layer of oil under the surface, and that could be causing earthquakes.

"It's like we're giving the earth arthritis. I don't know if that sounds crazy."

Cheryl Cole to take a break from the showbiz world

Cheryl Cole to take a break from the showbiz world
Cheryl Cole wants to take a break from the showbiz world.

The 27-year-old singer ' who was sensationally sacked from the US version of 'The X Factor' after working on the show for just two weeks ' is now keen to take some time off as she does not intend to return to the UK version of the musical talent programme.

A source said: "Cheryl has admitted she's not thinking straight right now and everything is a blur.

"She hasn't stopped working for the past nine years ' ever since Girls Aloud started. She's now looking at this as the perfect opportunity to just stop for a bit and take time out.

"She's going to sit back, take stock of her career and decide what to do next."

Cheryl ' who is thought to have been replaced on the judging panel, also containing Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul, by Nicole Scherzinger ' reportedly did not want to return to the UK version of 'The X Factor' because she is feeling "fragile" about the sacking.

A source added to The Sun newspaper: "She just isn't in the right state of mind at the moment to go headfirst into a new show.

"She's all over the place, emotionally she's very fragile. Starting filming on Wednesday would be far too soon."

She has also become "un-contactable" after the event, with TV executives left in the dark about whether or not she wanted a job in the UK.

An insider told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Cheryl will not be returning to the British 'X Factor'. People have been trying to speak to her and persuade her this would be a good idea, but she's been un-contactable.

"She hasn't returned phone calls. And you can't exactly negotiate with someone who won't even speak to you."

Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Band Rare Bird Alert

Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Band Rare Bird Alert
There is a long history of comedians, actors and the like turning their hands to music and the results are highly varied. From Steven Segal desperately trying to prove he has soul by playing Blues (excrutiatingly), Hugh Laurie actually playing a pretty good form of Blues but with a nerdish attention to detail through to Woody Allen and his regular Jazz band in NYC with Woody playing a mean clarinet the evidence is clear – listen with care and a cynical ear.
So up pops Steve Martin. A genuine comedic talent, funny actor, playwright and ‘eruditer’ (or bullshit philosopher as Mel Brooks would have it) and now he wants us to believe that his greatest pleasure – not to mention talent – is playing banjo. And, dagnabbit, he actually plays damn well and he has a band around him that play equally well but rather than covering up his weaknesses actually emphasise how good he is – now I did not expect THAT!

This is an album of easy and delightfully played bluegrass. All songs written by Steve Martin and all acoustic, featuring some excellent fiddling, easy and steady bass and guiter. It turns out that The Steep Canyon Rangers won the award as the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Best Emerging Talent. It is my guess that they weren’t likely to saddle themselves with an idiot who only thought he could play banjo and so it proves.

From the title track, a superb instrumental that just sets the stage and through ‘Yellow-Backed Fly’, one of the most bucolic and heartfelt fishing songs I have ever heard and featuring the great line “twenty inches long and measured with a stick, he’s Old Jim but to me he’s Moby Dick” and if you’ve ever fished for a famous fish you will understand that line to your heart.
‘You Are My Best Love’ is a slightly cheesy love song featuring the vocals of no less than Sir Paul McCartney but that quickly gives over to ‘Northern Island’, a frantic instrumental and probably featuring the best picking on the album – simply great Bluegrass.
The whole album is suffused with good humour and sounds as though it was recorded with a big heart and wide smiles and you really will find yourself dancing away to numbers like ‘Go Away, Stop, Turn Around, Come Back’ and smiling broadly to the utterly silly but delicious ‘Atheists Don’t Have No Songs’.

Best track on the album is probably ‘Jubilation Day’ or the heartbreakingly lovely ‘The Great Remember (For Nancy)’ but the live numbers at the end of the album raised a big smile too.

I am genuinely delighted that this album is as good as it is, bad Bluegrass is almost worse than bad Blues, but this ain’t bad by anyone’s calculation.

Sean Kingston in critical condition after a jet-ski accident

Sean Kingston in critical condition after a jet-ski accident
The 'Beautiful Girls' hitmaker struck a bridge connecting Palm Island with the MacArthur Causeway in Miami, Florida, on Sunday evening (29.05.11) and has been taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital nearby to be treated for his injuries.

A representative for the 21-year-old singer said: "Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes."

A female passenger who was also on the jet-ski has also been taken to hospital.

Officials investigating the accident are said to have ruled out alcohol playing a part in the accident, TMZ reports.

Amy Winehouse has gone back into rehab

Amy Winehouse has gone back into rehab
The troubled singer ' who has a history of drug addiction and heavy drinking - checked herself London's The Priory clinic earlier this week ' but reportedly stunned onlookers when she bought a small bottle of vodka from a small shop in Southgate, north London, on her way to the facility.

The source said: "She seemed out of it. She was stumbling about, slurring her words.

"I was shocked to see her buy vodka so early in the day, and even more shocked to see her knock it straight back."

Just minutes earlier, she had shocked staff and clients in a local hair salon by bursting in and loudly vomiting in their bathroom.

Customers said she was dressed scruffily in a tracksuit and told staff: "I just puked all over your bathroom."

One told The Sun newspaper: "I felt really sorry for the staff. I think they were too scared to say anything."

Last night (26.05.11) Amy's spokesman denied she had been sick, insisting her comment was a joke, but confirmed she is in rehab.

He said: "Amy's embarked on treatment at The Priory."

Earlier this month, it was reported that the 27-year-old star wants to move to the countryside and start a family with her boyfriend Reg Traviss.

Cheryl Cole was 'shocked' to have been axed as a judge on the US version of 'The X Factor'

Cheryl Cole was 'shocked' to have been axed as a judge on the US version of 'The X Factor'
The British beauty ' who is reported to have been replaced by Nicole Scherzinger on the judging panel of the show alongside L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell ' did not expect to be sacked and is upset Simon, with who she worked on the UK version of the show, did not tell her of the move in person.

A friend of Cheryl's said: "She is completed shocked and stunned. She never saw this coming.

"The fact Simon didn't tell her in person hurt. She never thought he would do that to her."

The 27-year-old singer has told friends she feels like she has been strung up by her former boss and was not given a chance to hold her own on the musical TV talent show.

She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as telling a friend: "I've been hung out to dry and I know who's to blame. I've had no opportunity whatsoever to prove myself and instead they've just cast me aside like a fool."

Now Simon has been accused of "losing his touch" on the show, with Fox forcing his hand to release Cheryl, proving he is no longer the "arch manipulator" he thinks of himself as.

A source said: "Simon Cowell wants to be seen as the arch manipulator, the controller of everyone's destiny, yet he seems to be losing his touch.

"He thinks he keeps everyone on their toes by leaving announcements until the last minute, but it just looks desperate. He prides himself on being able to charm everyone into doing hat he wants but the tactic is not working.

"He couldn't get most of the US stars he wanted for 'The X Factor' and the Fox guys over-ruled him on Cheryl, which has got to hurt."

It is now thought Cheryl will return to the UK version of the show, alongside Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "She is hurt but has agreed to come back. She doesn't want her British fans to think she would desert them. She is determined to make it clear she hasn't failed."

Mariah Carey Child Protection investigation dropped

Mariah Carey Child Protection investigation dropped
The Child Protection Services investigation against Mariah Carey has been dropped.

The singer and husband Nick Cannon - who became parents to son Moroccan Scott and daughter Monroe on April 30 - were shocked when an anonymous tip to the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family (DCFS) accused her of putting the babies at risk by drinking alcohol and taking drugs in her hospital room.

Mariah ' who brought the babies home from hospital two weeks ago - admitted to investigators she drank a Guinness but only on the advice of medical staff who informed her a dark beer would help with lactation.

Laura Wasser ' a lawyer for the singer ' was present during questioning before the DCFS decided not to pursue the matter, website TMZ reports.

Earlier this month, 'America's Got Talent' host Nick explained the couple were shocked at the 'ridiculous' allegations.

He said: "Recently, the Child Protective Services were called with allegations that there was some drinking and drugs and all that going on, wild in the hospital, which makes no sense to me - how would a hospital allow that?

"It all started when a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness, the dark beer, the yeast improves breastfeeding. I don't know if someone heard that, but then they were saying my wife was drinking beer. People will do anything to try to conjure up a story.

"I spoke to the person from the Child Protective Services, I was like, 'This is ridiculous. We're going to make sure that this isn't a case.'

"To even have to deal with that, my wife in the state that she's in, we're in the hospital, to even have to think about someone possibly wanting to investigate your children. It's sad at the end of the day."

The 'Bad Romance' singer ' who announced earlier this month she has split from musician and bartender Luc Carl ' is besotted with the furniture and even penned a track, which appears on her latest album, 'Born This Way', about the mystery man while sitting on the couch.

She admitted in an interview with Capital FM: "A couch I made love on with a guy for six years is the same couch in my apartment. I hug the sofa and kiss the floor every time I come in.

"I've written 'You And I' about it with the words, 'Sit back down on the couch where we made love the first time.' "

The 25-year-old 'Judas' singer ' whose real name is Stefani Germanotta - recently said she is in no hurry to find love again, pointing out she is not going to alter herself to fit someone else's mould.

She added: "I would say don't go looking for love, let love find you. That's when it will happen.

"But you definitely don't need a man to be happy, and that's an important thing to remember.

"A guy needs to love me for who I am. This is the real me, so whatever you're looking for, you're not going to find anything else."

But when Gaga is ready to meet her ideal man there is a good chance he will be a few years her senior after she recently admitted to favouring "older men".
